Just a day like any other
I fed the cat I fed the hamster
Left the house I locked the door
Bought some coffee at the liquor store
Got to work a little bit late
Didn’t think it could be my last day
We heard the shots we heard the screams
Couldn’t wake us from this horrid dream

What’s this curse that plagues the earth
Lost their way since the day of their birth
It’s a wonder that we came this far
Surprised the nukes haven’t killed us all
Hope one day we’ll change our ways
Saving lives not throw them away
Til we change we’ll weather the storm
Try to see it before the calm

I wish they could give us a reason of why they died
Or how it could happen it makes no sense to me
The disregard for human lives it’s such a tragedy
If it’s not the guns then it’s a crime for us to walk the streets
Its utter insanity
